Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur organization is seeking applications for a full-time, fellowship-trained specialist in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) within the Department of Urology. This position offers either a tenure-track or non-tenure clinical track faculty role at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Clinical Responsibilities- Deliver expert assessments, medical management, and surgical interventions for female pelvic floor disorders, including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, and fistula repair.
- Conduct advanced reconstructive surgeries utilizing minimally invasive techniques such as robotic, laparoscopic, and vaginal approaches.
- Work collaboratively with professionals in Gynecology, Colorectal Surgery, Physical Therapy, and other related fields within a well-established multidisciplinary pelvic floor program.
- Engage in both inpatient and outpatient clinical activities across various sites within our healthcare network.
- Guide and mentor residents and fellows in their clinical and surgical education.
- M.D., D.O., or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Urology.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) or Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS), or equivalent certification from prior training.
- Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
- Proven proficiency in minimally invasive and reconstructive pelvic floor surgical techniques.
- Previous experience in an academic faculty role or a demonstrated record of research productivity.
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures and advanced laparoscopic methods.
- A history of securing extramural grant funding or maintaining an active research portfolio.
- Interest in clinical outcomes research, health disparities, or translational science.
