Company Overview

The CEHD at the University of Louisville is recognized in the Top 100 in US News and World Reports and is part of a Doctoral/Research Extensive institution enrolling approximately 21,000 students in an urban area with a population of approximately one million.

The College includes approximately 120 FTE faculty and serves approximately 3000 students in four departments: Leadership, Foundations, and Human Resources; Health and Sport Sciences; Educational and Counseling Psychology; and Teaching and Learning. The College is committed to advancing knowledge, promoting the highest levels of learning, and developing leaders who generate and use research to inform policy and improve practice.

The College is known for the Grawemeyer Award, support for faculty development and growth including new faculty mentoring programs, its commitments to diversity, state-of-the art technology and support, ongoing research projects, and strong collaborations with public schools to address the comprehensive needs of all students, including Jefferson County Schools, a diverse, highly effective, district partner with over 95,000 students. Company History

Founded in 1968, the College of Education and Human Development serves to prepare students for leadership in a variety of educational settings. Its students fill classrooms, school counselors offices, and educational administrative offices. Those who graduate impact businesses and social service agencies, as well as private practitioners.

The College of Education and Human Development embraces the University's mission as a metropolitan research university committed to advancing the intellectual, cultural, and economic development of our diverse communities and citizens.
