Company Overview

LUMS SOE was established, in January 2017, as the fifth school at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the premier private university in Pakistan. The School operates at the crucial nexus of research, policy and practice to produce education leaders who can shape a reimagined and vibrant education reform agenda for Pakistan.

In Fall 2018, SOE launched its flagship MPhil Education Leadership and Management (ELM) – a two-year degree programme of both taught and field-based interdisciplinary coursework. The School collaboratively offers courses with other schools and departments at LUMS that contribute towards its Undergraduate Minor in Education, which was launched in Fall 2019. The cutting-edge curriculum is implemented by the existing faculty body holding PhDs from renowned international institutions such as Columbia, Penn State, Ohio State, Korea Development Institute, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, Oxford and LSE. A group of distinguished international faculty constitute the SOE Advisory Board who play an active strategic role to support the School in establishing research and teaching partnerships with leading schools in the United States and United Kingdom.

LUMS SOE is housed in the 100-acre LUMS campus in Lahore, which is the second largest city in Pakistan with rich history and cultural diversity. The campus, which is 20 minutes away from the international airport, offers a vibrant life full of cultural, literary and other social activities.
