Slover Linett Strategies
Company Overview
Slover Linett Strategies is a Chicago-based audience research firm specializing in the higher education and cultural sectors. We help colleges and universities, museums, and performing arts organizations understand their relationships with the individuals and communities they serve—and hope to serve—in order to deepen engagement and broaden participation.
In higher education, our research spans the student lifecycle, from prospective students, to current students, to alumni and donors. We draw from a range of social science and management disciplines in our work, using quantitative, qualitative, and ethnographic research methods, often in combination, to construct a nuanced picture and inform big-picture recommendations. Our clients include admissions teams, student affairs, marketing and communications offices, alumni relations, development, career services, Provosts’ offices and Deans. Increasingly, we work on institution-wide research and initiatives involving leadership, senior staff teams, and trustees.
Founded in 1997, we are a growing, intellectually lively, and team-oriented consultancy that has become a trusted thought-partner to leading nonprofit institutions across the country. Our higher education practice serves the University of Chicago (since 1997), Stanford, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, Harvard and other institutions. Our arts & culture clients include the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (since 1999), Smithsonian Institution, Seattle Opera, American Museum of Natural History, Goodman Theater, Field Museum, and Whitney Museum of American Art.
