About Us
The Office of Educational Innovation and Evaluation (OEIE) is affiliated with Kansas State University (KSU) and the College of Education. We work with state and federal agencies, school districts, universities, and foundations to provide comprehensive and collaborative project development, strategic planning, and evaluation services for educational programs and a variety of projects for business and industry. The service-oriented multi-disciplinary team at OEIE uses quantitative and qualitative methodologies to design and implement high-quality, responsive program evaluations to support data-driven decision making. All grants and contracts are serviced by an evaluation team, led by a principal evaluator.
Professional Standards
OEIE adheres to the American Evaluation Associations Guiding Principles for Evaluators and the Program Evaluation Standards of the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation.

Company History

Evaluation Services
OEIE develops, designs, and implements grant and program evaluation by providing the following services:

Designing evaluation plans for grant proposals
Utilizing logic models to communicate short-term and long-term goals in evaluation plans
Translating an evaluation plan into an implementation plan
Designing methods and instruments to measure goals and objectives outlined in proposals
Implementing all evaluation components, including instrument design, data collection, analysis, and reporting
Monitoring the effectiveness of activities for alignment with goals
Providing formative and summative evaluation to stakeholders
Support Services
OEIE also provides other services to support and compliment evaluation, including:


Strategic planning
Collaborative project development and proposal writing with university faculty, school districts, and other organizations
Grant writing seminars and technical assistance to university faculty for proposal preparation, grant development, and project management
Group facilitation and consensus building
Development of resource databases to link funding sources with proposed projects or programs for sustainability
All evaluation design and implementation plans are consistent with the Program Evaluation Standards established by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation.

OEIE has provided more than 40,000 hours of evaluation services and proposal development and evaluated more than 120 projects totaling $40 million from the following funding agencies:
