Description
The Department of Educational Studies at Colgate University invites applications for two distinct one-year visiting assistant professor positions:
1) Critical Literacy Studies
2) Critical STEM Education (e.g., eco-pedagogy, critical place-based pedagogy, climate and sustainability education, Indigenous science); prior K-12 experience and teacher certification required
Both of these positions will begin fall semester 2026. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses in their area of expertise as well as the introductory foundations course in the department (The American School). Completion of Ph.D. or Ed.D. is required prior to or shortly after the date of hire. The successful candidate will fulfill the expectation that all Colgate faculty participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
